Forest Church is a chance to discover God in the beauty of the world around us!
We meet for breakfast at 10am at St Michael’s Priory (formerly ‘The Well’ and found at the north end of Willen Lake, map below). There will be pastries, bacon butties, kids cereals and hot drinks. Bring a small donation to cover the cost.
Lifts are always available…just ask!
We’ll share in a simple reflection and then head off for a walk together as we discover the wonder of God in creation.
There is something special about being outside together, it is a wonderful way to grow as a community as the kids run and play and the adults have a chance to talk. The natural world is also a fantastic way to encounter God, as the one the writers of the Psalms said 1,000s of years ago….
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
The Bible, Psalm 19: 1-4
We have been to Rushmere Country Park, Salcey Forest and we plan to discover many more places locally!
