"My work on the front-line with Medecins Sans Frontiers"
Medcin Sans Frontiers (Doctors without Borders) work in over 60 countries providing medical care where the need is greatest. Come and join us for this opportunity to hear first-hand about their work. This is a little bit about our speaker, Chris Peskett, who is recently back from Uganda:
"I am a Registered General Nurse and have worked for MSF for some ten years, in a variety of positions including those of nurse manager and project coordinator. I have been part of various
primary health care programmes which has often meant working with acute malnutrition. I have been involved in responding to a number of disease outbreaks including meningitis, malaria, cholera and Ebola. I have worked on the above interventions in countries including Sudan, South Sudan and Sierra Leone. I have also been involved in HIV/TB programmes in countries including Mozambique and Cambodia."
Chris’s talk will be suitable for the whole family (although not pre-school) and you are invited, if you wish, to stay for Dinner Church following where there will be a chance to chat more informally with Chris.
Please join the Dinner Church event on Facebook or contact Ruth so that we know numbers for catering. All money given will go to our two CWW charities MSF and MK Snap.
