Generous Giving

One of our values as a Christian Community is to be giving generously. In 2018 we supported two charities; Willen Hospice and New Hope Rural Community Trust and are delighted to say that we raised £1950.

In 2019, once again, we will be supporting two charities: one home and one overseas. Our two charities this year are Henry Allen Trust and The Eagle Project . Throughout the year we will be running a whole range of events to support our two charities from Pancake Parties to Brass Band Concert. Come along and get involved!

Henry Allen Trust

Set up in memory of Henry Allen, to create a lasting legacy and bring 'Henry's Happiness' to families battling childhood cancer.

Henry Allen was just two when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer that affects nerve tissue.

Despite treatment Henry's condition deteriorated. Henry wanted to come home and his family spent their last days together making memories and talking about Henrys wishes. This included helping other children and families affected by childhood cancer.

The Henry Allen Trust will be about "Henry's family bringing happiness to your family". This will be achieved in a number of ways including:

  • Providing Treats and Wishes to Create Special Memories for families affected by Childhood Cancer
  • Providing Support and Advice for Families Battling Childhood Cancer
  • Improving Processes for Oncology Services Within Hospitals

The Eagle Project: Sau Paolo, Brazil

Eagle Project (2)

Is a non-profit organisation working to build relationships with adolescents in the youth prisons of São Paulo, Brazil.

The aim is to break the vicious circle of crime and drug abuse by working with adolescents in youth prisons in São Paulo, Brazil, and their families, through a programme of workshops, professional help and family visits aimed at reducing the possibility of re-offence.

Our hope is that ´The Eagle Project` will give many young people in Brazil and other countries the opportunity to find their ‘wings’, begin a new life and dream big dreams.

Charity Ambassadors

To help get our fundraising going we have two charity ambassadors each year.

I am delighted to say that our  Charity Ambassadors for 2019 are: Dee Denehan, Mandy Sleight and Zara Bass
