Generous Giving

One of our values as a Christian Community is to be giving generously. Over the last 8 years our small community has raised over £14,000 for a range of different charities including Willen Hospice, Toybox, MSF, Shelter, The Henry Allen Trust, The Eagle Project and many more. In 2023 we raised £2500 for Super Shoes and Kuperosa Healthcare Trust.

This year, throughout 2024 we will be supporting two new charities. Our locally based charity this year is St Mark's Meals, an MK charity that provides meal boxes for families in need.  Our international charity is War Child, supporting children caught up in areas of conflict, physically, emotionally and through advocacy.

Throughout the year we will be running a whole range of events to support our two charities from a Board Games afternoon to Brass Band Concert. Come along and get involved!

NO CHILD SHOULD HAVE TO GO TO BED HUNGRY
With your help, we can feed hungry tummies all across the city. We want children all over Milton Keynes to have dinner so that they can turn up at school the next day without the burden of hunger pangs. We've got a simple system that gets dinner to where it's needed, when it's needed, so that children don't have to go to bed hungry.

We distribute dinner kit boxes to over 100 schools and children's centres all across MK so that any member of staff at these places can give a box to any child, whenever they see the need. We trust the amazing teachers, TA's, pastoral teams, children's workers and receptionists to give away Meals to children who are in need.

We’ve developed 5 different meal kit boxes designed to create a delicious meal for the whole family. Everything needed for dinner is in the box, including a recipe card with straightforward instructions and games and puzzles for kids to play.

To make sure that the meals are available to ANY child, we have made sure that there are options for children who are vegetarian, or gluten free or those that only have access to a kettle. We have tried them ourselves with our families and can confirm, they're tasty!

War Child

war-child-kids

We aim to be there for children who need us most, when they need us most.

When conflict breaks out, we aim to reach children as early as possible and stay on to support them long after the cameras have gone home. We help keep children safe and help them to heal and learn.

We understand children’s needs, respect and stand up for their rights, and put them at the centre of everything we do – because just one child caught up in conflict is one child too many.

WE PROTECT, EDUCATE AND STAND UP FOR THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN LIVING THROUGH CONFLICT
Whether it’s ensuring Iraqi children get an education, providing psychological support to children who have been traumatised by conflict in Yemen, or finding lost vulnerable children in Afghanistan.

WE GO TO SOME OF THE HARDEST TO REACH PLACES
We deliver our vital work in six countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children in war.
