Christmas at Church without Walls

Join us for a wide range of Christmas services and gatherings. Whether you are looking a family friendly Christmas Christingle or a reflective quiet service there will be something for you.

Advent Quiet Church

Sunday 3rd December 11am to 12pm @ Hummingbirds Children's Centre

A reflective service for adults and primary school children as we prepare to celebrate the coming of Jesus. There are prayers, readings and times of quiet reflection. The children will spend time in their own group and we will all share in communion.

Christingle Café Church

Sunday 10th December 11am @ Broughton Fields Primary School

Join us to make Christingles, share in prayers and worship and celebrate what Christmas is all about! There will be a 'scratch' nativity, carols to sing. Everyone is welcome young and old.

Cafe Church is a relaxed time together with coffee, tea and pastries served. (donations welcome).

Advent Forest Church

Sunday 17th December 11am @ Howe Park Wood

Come and follow the stars as we walk through Howe Park Wood and enjoy an Advent themed prayers, reflections and activities for all the family.
As we walk together we stop and share in simple reflections and prayers as we discover the wonder of God in creation. Sturdy buggy friendly and dogs on leads welcome. We will meet near the cafe by the car-park.
There is something special about being outside together, it is a wonderful way to grow as a community as the kids run and play and the adults have a chance to talk. The natural world is also a fantastic way to encounter God, so come and join us.

Carol Service

Sunday 17th December 3pm @ St Lawrence Church, Broughton

Get into the Christmas spirit as we gather in this beautiful medieval Church for our Christmas Carol service. There will be readings and prayers, lots of carols to sing and a chance to remember what Christmas is all about!

There will be a collection for the Church Conservation Trust during the service so please bring some cash as a donation if possible.

The church is unheated so dress warmly - blankets provided!

The service is organised by Friends of St Lawrence and Church Without Walls.

Beer & Carols

Wednesday 20th December 7pm @ The Broughton (outside)

Get into the Christmas spirit as we sing some carols, enjoy a drink and remember what Christmas is all about!

We will be accompanied by brass players and we will be outside in the seated area at the front of The Broughton Hotel. This is an outside event so do dress warmly! There will be an opportunity to grab a drink from the bar (maybe even some mulled wine!) and sing your hearts out!

Crib Service

Sunday 24th December 11am and 3pm @ St Lawrence Church, Broughton

A fantastic way to start the Christmas celebrations with a family-friendly retelling of the nativity story. There will be carols, prayers and a chance to remember what Christmas is all about.

Due to the small size of the church we have two services both of which will be identical.

Please dress warmly as the church is unheated.
